FOR those looking to kick-off their Christmas shopping, Crafts in the Pen in Skipton will soon be with us.

More than 230 artists and crafters have been chosen to take part in the weekend event, which will take place on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17.

On sale will be jewellery, ceramics, quilting, glassware and wax craft, plus much more, and there will also be a Santa's grotto.

More than half of the tickets have already been snapped up for the festive crafts market, which is held at Skipton Auction Mart, Gargrave Road.

Andy Lynan, of Crafts in the Pen, said: "Our 230 artists have been selected and your visit supports these many small businesses.

"Crafts in the Pen is the ideal weekend to kickstart your Christmas shopping but don't forget that its perfectly acceptable to purchase something for yourself."

Crafts in the Pen is run by the Bad Wolf Theatre Company. It takes place from 9am to 4pm on November 16, and from 10am to 4pm on November 17.

Booking is essential. Tickets are £6 and include parking and a brochure. Under 16s get free entry and a visit to the Santa's grotto.
