Within Strid Wood, on the Bolton Abbey estate, a Christmas village is set to play host to bushcraft activity sessions - such as roasting cocoa beans (for hot chocolate), lighting a fire, and even axe-throwing.
Every family attending the Strid Wood Christmas Village will also get the chance to visit Father Christmas privately in his log cabin (complete with smaller 'elf-door' for children to enter through).
The interior design of Saint Nick's cabin is even inspired by the Bolton Abbey estate, with decorative branches of pine and holly sourced from across the Abbey grounds.
Each child will receive a special present from Father Christmas for them to take home, too.
The Strid Wood Christmas Village will be open on select dates from Saturday, November 23 to Monday, December 23.
Tickets and date information are available at https://boltonabbey.com/whats-on/father-christmas/
Other events taking place at the estate over the Christmas period include a wreath-making workshop with RHS Chelsea silver medallist - and Ilkley resident - Vanessa Wellock, on Friday, December 6.
Elsewhere, the festive trail will return to the Abbey on November 30.
Families can enjoy the experience alongside their visit to the Christmas Village, while the Cavendish Pavilion will also be open daily.
