A FUNDRAISING day at a Skipton gym has helped raise more than £4,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Saturday's event at the Commando Mindset Fitness Studio, High Corn Mill, was organised by Abi Stevens, in memory of her mum, Julie Stevens, who died from cancer in September.
Julie spent her final weeks at the hospice and as a thank you, Abi wanted to raise as much money as she could to help Manorlands keep up with its fantastic work and help families like hers.
Abi set herself a target of raising £500, and had already smashed it ahead of the weekend event by raising £2,291including at a doubles fitness competition, and another £415 in gift aid.
Now, a great turn-out to Saturday's fundraiser with a raffle, with donations from local businesses, and a cake stall has taken money raised for the hospice at more than £4,000.
