SKIPTON therapist and counsellor Dean 'Backman' Majors has come up with a novel way of raising money for charity while at the same time giving pain relief to those with limited funds in the run-up to Christmas.
Between now and Christmas, Dean is offering 30-minute massage sessions in the Backcave, Providence Place, off Newmarket Street, on a 'pay what you can' basis - with all proceeds going to Martin House children's hospice.
"I shall be doing 'pay what you can' for a 30-minute session for anyone who needs a bit of pain relief but who maybe hasn't got the funds. There will also be mince pies, Christmas music and a lovely warm room," he said.
Dean will hand over the proceeds of his 'pay what you can' sessions to the Martin House charity shop on Sheep Street.
Sessions can be booked by finding The Backman on Facebook, or by calling Dean on 07926 658251.
