A car club which runs a spare parts shop in Bradford has been recognised at a motor show.
Jowett Car Club was awarded the inaugural 'Hall of Fame' accolade at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
The club was recognised for its support of its own members, as well as the support it has provided to other clubs and classic car owners, according to a spokesperson.
A recreation of a period Jowett dealer's garage was staged on the car club's stand at the show.
Jowett Car Club's award at the Classic Motor Show follows its win of the 'Best Live Restoration' award at the Restoration Show in March (which also took place at the NEC).
The club plans to celebrate two milestones in 2025: the 75th anniversary of the launch of the Jowett Jupiter, and the 75th anniversary of its class win at Le Mans, in 1950.
Three historic Jupiter race cars will compete in the Le Mans Classic in July 2025 as part of the anniversary commemorations.
As part of Bradford's City of Culture celebrations in 2025, club members will display Jowett models at various events throughout the year, said a spokesperson.
Jowett Car Club supports 750 members worldwide with organised gatherings, a monthly magazine, technical support, social events, and a spares scheme through Jowett Car Spares - which the club owns and runs, and which is still based in Bradford.
