THE second of Skipton's annual Christmas markets is due to take place on Sunday, with thousands of people expected to flock once again into the town.

Christmas is well into its swing with the Great Skipton Santa Fun Run, which attracted a record 2, 266 runners, walkers and wheelers taking part, and the turning on of the festive lights, and last week's first Christmas market.

On Sunday, the second market takes place featuring more than 100 stalls offering everything from handmade crafts to gourmet food, alongside live entertainment and plenty of opportunities to soak up the Christmas spirit.

Children - and police officers - can also pop into a winter wonderland in Albion Place and post a letter to Santa. The festive treat has been laid on by Skipton Business Improvement District (BID) and will be open every weekend up until Christmas.
