FAST food chain McDonald's has been given the go-ahead to install electric vehicle charging stations at its Skipton restaurant.
Two EV charging stations are to be provided at the restaurant at the Airedale Business Centre, off Millennium Road. They will be sited at the most southern row of parking spaces.
In recommending approval, a North Yorkshire Council planning officer said provision of the electric chargers would promote sustainable travel. The scheme is also considered acceptable in terms of 'visual impact, scale and design and the policy requirements regarding sustainable design and construction are met.'
The number of parking spaces will be reduced, but will mean the creation of two larger spaces for the charging of electric vehicles.
