Thieves have stolen a £7,000 portable lighting tower from a farm at Clapham.
The white and black Terex tower had been hired out for the “Rough Beats” music festival and was stolen from the yard of Nutta Farm between 3pm and 6pm on Monday.
PC Barbara Parsons said: “Obviously this is the theft of an unusual item that occurred in broad daylight so it is possible someone may have seen it being towed by a vehicle either in the Clapham area or along the A65.”
The lighting unit has wheels and is about two metres long and 15 metres high when the tower is up, or 1.5 metres when the tower is down.
Its wheels had been secured by an orange clamp.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Parsons at Ingleton Police Station on 0845 6060 247, extension 3091.
