Burglars have struck again in Settle, breaking into a house while the occupants were asleep upstairs.
The latest offence occurred on Ings Avenue, overnight on Tuesday.
The burglars forced a side door and stole a new Sony Bravia television, which had been bought for the World Cup.
They also took an MP3 player, a mobile phone and, after finding a set of car keys, the residents’ black Peugeot 207, registration YS03 KXD.
This follows two other burglaries in Settle – in Ingfield Crescent on May 29 and Townhead Croft on June 1 – in which televisions and cars were stolen.
One of the missing vehicles, an Audi A4, was recovered in Crossley Street, Bradford, on Tuesday.
Sgt Les Moorhouse, of Settle Police, said: “This type of crime is rare in North Craven and my team are now vigorously targeting the problem.”
Police are appealing for information. They can be contacted on 0845 6060 247 or information can be left on the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
