A deputy headteacher has been nominated as a Rising Star.
Lucy Ridyard, who joined Glusburn Community Primary School last September, has been praised for her hard work by headteacher Richard Hunt.
“Lucy’s incredibly good at her job,” he said. “She has lots of new and exciting ideas about how to make the curriculum exciting for the children.”
Rising Stars is a partnership between the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services and the Times Education Supplement. It recognises future stars who are taking the National Professional Qualification for Headship or are planning to do so.
Mr Hunt, 33, and Miss Ridyard, 32, are one of the youngest school leadership teams in the area.
