A total of £4,000 was presented to local charities in memory of Barnoldswick girl Chloe Oldfield, who died in February after a three-year battle with cancer.
Before her death, Chloe, a pupil at Skipton Girls’ High School, asked that any money raised should go to Barnoldswick and Earby Bosom Friends and the Barnoldswick Charity Support Group.
Both organisations helped her during her illness, providing equipment when she was in hospital and supporting other events including a surprise birthday party.
“Both the groups really supported Chloe and us all as a family when she was ill, and Chloe particularly wanted to help them in return,” said her mother, Catherine, as she presented cheques for £2,000 to each organisation.
