Time is running out for Skipton groups to apply for town council grants.
The council has £10,000 to hand out and applications have been thin on the ground.
Dave Parker, chief officer of Skipton Town Council, said it was important applicants made the June 25 deadline.
“We will not be accepting any individual requests at other times of the year,” he said. “At the moment, the scheme is under-subscribed, so it certainly has to be worth considering putting in an application for those groups with a suitable project.”
Grants will be considered for amounts from a minimum of £100 and must be for groups in the Skipton parish.
Grants will not be given to individuals and there is no maximum amount, although the council aims to benefit as many organisations as possible. Applications can also be made to partly fund a project.
Application forms are available from the town council offices above Barclays Bank, High Street, Skipton, by calling 01756 794357 or emailing admin@skiptontowncouncil.gov.uk or download from skiptontowncouncil.gov.uk
