Eleven-year-old Olivia Dean will lead the procession in Saturday’s Cononley Gala.
The Cononley Primary School pupil takes over as gala queen from Sally O’Hara and will be attended by nine-year-old fellow pupils Ellie Leeming and Charlotte Dalton.
The theme is “Cononley rocks through the ages”. Floats and walking groups will join the parade in fancy dress, setting off at 1.30pm.
The parade will head for the playing field for attractions including a ducking stool, giant slide, coconut shy, rides and games for younger children as well as greyhounds and ferrets.
Sports include the fell race, sprints, sack race and egg and spoon. Adults will be back in the evening, when there is a ticketed event with a band, dancing, bar and meal. Tickets are on sale at Cononley Post Office.
