The new head of Skipton Chamber of Trade is the boss of independent radio station Fresh.
Julian Hotchkiss, managing director of the Broughton Hall- based radio station, took over from outgoing president Joan Evans at the annual general meeting.
Mr Hotchkiss said: “I’m looking forward to developing the work of the Chamber and supporting members in helping them build prosperous businesses in the Skipton area.
“We have a very vibrant business community in Skipton and this reflects in the members of the chamber who collectively, over the years, have worked hard to highlight issues and promote the area as a bustling Yorkshire market town and tourist destination. I look forward to working with a team to help boost the dynamics of business in Skipton.”
Also elected at the annual general meeting were: Janet Collins, of The Mill Shop, vice-president; Billy Moffat, of Armstrong Watson, treasurer, and Roz Wathen, secretary.
