After two weeks of wide-ranging performances, the 30th Grassington Festival comes to an end on Saturday.
This year’s festival has welcomed a record 105 performers, ranging from gardening expert Sir Roddy Llewellyn to jazz musician Acker Bilk.
“Everything has gone wonderfully well,” said festival director Amelia Vyvyan. “Events have been very well-attended and the weather has been glorious.”
And a Last Night of the Proms evening, with tenor Mark LeBrocq and Skipton Camerata, got the Festival in the Field events off to a rousing start on Tuesday.
“Everyone was waving flags and the fireworks were absolutely brilliant,” said Amelia.
Remaining events include a comedy night with Ross Noble tonight, an evening with self-proclaimed “grumpy old man” Rick Wakeman tomorrow and a last night party featuring The Proclaimers on Saturday.
