A new energy price cap has now begun in the UK, and with that in mind, Aldi has shared some of its best products to help save money on your energy bills in the winter months.
From October 1 the energy price cap for a typical household that uses gas and electricity and pays by Direct Debit will go up from £1,568 to £1,717 per year.
This is an increase of around 10% which adds around £12 a month to an average bill.
As a result, households will be looking to save money on their energy bills, and Aldi's Managing Director of Buying, Julie Ashfield, has shared a few tips to help shoppers manage that.

What are some easy ways to cut down on bills this winter?
Julie Ashfield recommends a few simple hacks and investing in the right products to help keep costs down.
She explained: "Whether it’s insulating the house, opting for an air fryer over the oven, or finding ways to keep the heating off, there are many low-cost ways to save on energy."
How can I insulate my home on a budget?
A few low-cost products such as Radiator Reflector (£9.99) can help with this, as it can be added behind radiators to help reflect heat back into the room.
Alongside that, Aldi’s Draught Excluder costs just £1.99 and can be placed around windows or doors to keep out cold draught.
Julie adds: "Essentials include the Multi-Purpose Foil Insulation Wrap (£12.99) which reduces heat loss through wall linings, floorboards and loft space by cutting heat loss by up to 85%."
What are some simple ways to cut down on heating bills?
Julie explains: "One of the simplest ways to cut down on heating costs is to focus on localised heating, such as using plug-in heaters, rather than heating the entire house.
"Costing just 49p per hour to run per hour and comes with an oscillation function, Aldi’s Fan Heater (£24.99) is a perfect solution for customers looking to swap out traditional heating.
"With three different heat settings plus an in-built handle to make it easy to move between rooms, it’s a cost-busting must-have this winter."
Alternatively, shoppers can try the Oil Filled Radiator (£29.99) which can warm up individual rooms without needing to turn heating on for the entire house.
Meanwhile, the Stove Fan (£14.99) can be placed in front of stoves and fireplaces to help circulate heat more effectively.
How can I dry laundry in the winter without spending a fortune using the tumble dryer?
The Upright Heated Airer costs less than 8p to run per hour and can hold nearly 5kg of laundry, whilst the Winged Heated Airer features 18 heated tubes which rapidly heat up as soon as it’s plugged in, meaning there’s no waiting around for laundry to dry.
