THIS week's picture come from the archives of Earby man Colin Smith. The actual occasion on which it was taken is not known, but Mr Smith thinks it may have been a dinner and dance held by the Burwain Sailing Club, Colne, probably in the early 1950s.
Mr Smith's mother Sally Smith is pictured second from left, while the other ladies pictured are, from left, not known, Mrs Green (?), not known, not known, Mrs Brazier (?) and Mrs Scothern, mother of Trevor Scothern, proprietor of Skipton electronics store Harry Garlick's. Of course, we would like to hear from anyone who can put a name to any of the unknown faces.
