SO Yorkshire Water believes that charging people to park at its reservoirs will cut down on fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour (Yorkshire Water starts charging at three reservoir car parks, Craven Herald, February 15).
The sort of people who indulge in those practices are hardly likely to put their hands in their pockets to park legally somewhere. It’s like charging people to park in supermarket car parks in the mistaken belief that it will stop persistent shoplifters. What planet do these people live on!.
