£13 MILLION for an eco cycle and foot bridge over the A629 between Silsden and Steeton is the last straw (Road crossing scheme finally moves forward, Craven Herald, October 31 and online).
What a waste of our (hard working tax payers) money.
A standard foot bridge with a combination of steps and zig-zag ramps would do just as well.
Okay, cyclists would have to dismount and push their bikes over the bridge before continuing on their journey.
But the nine million or so that we the hard working tax payers would save could be used for much more deserving causes such as health care, youth services, plus many more deserving causes.
I dread to think of how much money has already been spent on consultancy fees as well.
