WHARFEDALE RUFC player James Doherty captained the Yorkshire u-20 side to victory in the National U-20s Championship final at Twickenham.
The White Roase side gave their coach Bob Hood a great send off as he now retires from the position he has held for over a decade.
The Yarnbury RUFC coach had taken his u-20 side to Twickenhame for ther ninth time in his 12 year reign.
Yorkshire overcame a stubborn Devon side 34-17 to retain the U-20 County championship with an early morning kick off at Twickenham.
The White Rose lads enjoyed a 17-9 half- time advantage and completely dominated the second-half.
Tries came from Burrowes, Maycock, Marshall, Brody and Booth. Fly-half West added three conversions and a penalty.
