Wharfedale 18 Waterloo 24
This was an intensely frustrating match for Wharfedale - and a performance they will want to put out of their minds as they prepare to face Otley.
Most of the attacking flair on show came from the Greens, but handling errors wrecked almost all those openings, while Waterloo were clinical.
But against a side that arrived without an away victory this season, a single bonus point is a poor return.
However, to secure even that the Greens needed a fine last-action try by Chris Malherbe and a touchline conversion from Mark Bedworth.
Waterloo took a 3-0 lead in the third minute with a penalty from Alex Davies, but botched passing then presented the visitors with two tries - scrum half Pablo Fiejo sprinting from the 22 in the 13th minute and a second interception that set up pressure on the home line was soon translated into a pushover score for No 8 Tom Davies in the 24th minute.
One conversion meant Waterloo had a three-score advantage, and Davies slotted another penalty before the Greens hit back with a try in the left corner from winger Simon Horsfall.
Davies landed two penalties in the second half (67 and 79 minutes), Andy Baggett (51) and Bedworth (65) replying.
