SILSDEN were unfortunate to lose their opening pre-season friendly fixture on Saturday night, as Prestwich Heys travelled to the Cobbydale Construction Stadium and won 2-1.
It was Silsden who began on the front foot, and found themselves 1-0 up at the break.
Craig Billington got his head on a pulled back cross, and he made no mistake in directing the ball into the opposition's net.
However, a fine strike from Anthony Hall brought the scores level again in the 78th minute, after he cut in from the right, and curled a left footed strike into the top corner. Jack Coop scored an 84th minute penalty to earn victory for the away side.
