BARNOLDSWICK Town will have been disappointed to pick up just a point over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Barlick started their back to back home fixtures with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of league favourites Macclesfield FC before a 0-0 draw with local rivals Padiham on the Monday.
Against the Silkmen, the hosts started brightly with Ben Ashton smashing the crossbar early on. Andy Hill then suffered the same fate when his free kick hit the upright.
It would be the hosts who would take the lead though. Former Bradford (Park Avenue) striker Tom Clare netted from Aaron Dwyer's cross.
Five minutes later, it was Dwyer reversing roles to get his name on the scoresheet.
Gareth Hill netted before the break to set up a potentially intresting second period.
However, Town were unable to create that big chance which would have led to an equaliser.
Two days later, neither side were able to break the deadlock in the derby with Padiham.
In a pretty dull affair, Hill forced Paul Cooper into a good save and Ryan McKenna rattled the bar for the visitors.
After this set of results, Town are now fourth in the North West Counties Premier Division.
