FOLLOWING this week’s Annual General Meeting, Wharfedale RUFC’s General Committee elected David Baker as the new Club Chair.
Baker, a long standing committee member is not unfamiliar to the role, having served as Club Chair from 2013 – 2018.
The Club would like to thank all its members, volunteers and the committee, for their contribution, time and loyal support over the last 12 months, during what was an unusual period without any rugby.
The club also stated that they would like to 'express their sincere gratitude and thanks, to former Committee members, Robert Fort and Adam Mason, for all their hard work and effort they have given to the Club in recent years.'
We would like to take this opportunity to remind members, that the Club is for ALL members, and their engagement in how it is run, is always welcome. So if there is something you would like to see adopted, changed, or improved upon, get involved and let the Club know what you think.

In other news, following Dale's most recent performance against Hull Ionians at the weekend where they drew 14-14, they return to action this Saturday when they face off with Luctonians away from home.
Luctonians currently find themselves placed at the foot of the table and have only won one of their first five league fixtures, so Wharfedale will be looking to put pressure on from the get go.
Despite winning their first fixture against Huddersfield 10-12 a fortnight ago, Luctonians returned to losing ways on Saturday, this time on the road against Rotherham Titans, which saw a 37-22 scoreline.
