BARNOLDSWICK Town recorded their second draw in four days last night, though this was a little less exciting than Saturday's six-goal thriller.
Having drawn 3-3 at home to Lower Breck at the weekend, Barlick were on the road for their midweek game against fellow mid-table side Irlam.
Town have hit some form of late, with four wins and a draw in their last six games in all competitions, and they were the dominant team in Manchester last night.
Andy Hill fired a strike over the bar early on for the visitors, before Lewis Rawsthorn put the ball off target from a great position.
Rawsthorn thought he had made up for that miss in first-half injury-time, but he was denied by a brilliant save from Irlam keeper Thomas Goodwin.
Hill fired just wide with 20 minutes to go, before Rawsthorn rattled the crossbar with a fierce strike soon after.
Barnoldswick's final chance fell to McCauley Smith late on, but his effort flashed across the face of goal, with no-one getting a touch to turn the ball home.
Town are due to be back in action at rock-bottom Ashton Athletic this Saturday.
