IN just over two months Settle Cricket Club will start the 2023 cricket season in the newly formed North West Cricket League.
The division has replaced the Ribblesdale Cricket League and the Bolton Cricket League after they merged late last year. The North Yorkshire club will take part in the new Premier League and their first match will be away at the Eagley Sports Complex against Eagley Cricket Club.
The new season will see professional cricketer Ashen Silva return to Marshfield along with the new Oversea’s Young Player Tremaine Dowrich.
Dowrich, who is from Bridgetown, Barbados will takeover the roll of oversea’s Young Player at the club this season from Dante Niles, who had two outstanding seasons at Marshfield with both bat and ball, gaining first team experience from working alongside the likes of Ashen Silva, Will Davidson, Tom Davidson, Harry Snowden and Eddy Read.
The talented all rounder is set to arrive at Marshfield in April and will join up with his new team mates for the first match of the season at Eagley Cricket Club. Chadwick Media this week caught up with the clubs latest signing to ask him about his career and about his future at Settle Cricket Club.
