IT was an afternoon to forget for Barnoldswick Town on Saturday, as league leaders Bury went home from the Silentnight Stadium having won 7-0.
The hosts did manage to keep the visitors out until the 37th minute, but from there it was one-way traffic with quick strikes coming before the break to take the game away from Town.
An own goal (37), a Benito Lowe strike (39) and a third from Lewis Gilboy (42) sent the visitors into the interval with a deserved 3-0 lead, while the second half brought more joy to the visitors with Connor Comber (59), Sajjad Elhassan (78 and 86p) and James Moore (82) putting the gloss on a thoroughly dominant performance.
Up next for Barlick is a trip to Kendal Town this Saturday, with the game getting underway at 3pm.
