NORTH Ribblesdale scored an emphatic seven try victory over their visitors from South Yorkshire to get their season back on track after the previous weeks last gasp defeat.
Dinnington scored first after ex Rotherham fly half, the elusive Heginbotham put winger Jones in the corner for a try.
Ribb surged back and after a good passage of inter-passing Kyle Handy scored in the corner for an unconverted try. Dominant centre William Davidson was next on the scoresheet followed by youngster Callum Mathew scoring for the second game in a row, with both converted by Michael Thwaite to give Ribb a 19-5 lead.
Dinnington’s only reward was a penalty, and on the stroke of half time Davidson was over again to give Ribb a 24-8 interval lead.
The hosts were now dominant in most phases of play, with Mathew going over for his second, teenager Elliot Marklew being driven over from a catch and drive and flying full back Jack Hutchinson all adding to the tally with three converted tries.
Dinningon did score two consolation scores to give the final score of 45 – 22 in favour of the home side.
This week is a blank weekend before a trip to Leeds Corinthians.
