FOLLOWING a triumphant campaign in Division One last season, the Skipton Ladies First team has stepped up to face tougher opponents in the West Riding County Premier Division. Their strong league performance ensures they will finish among the top three teams in the division.
The Club is proud of the achievement of all players involved who have proven themselves at the highest level in the league.
Amy Maclean, co-founder and chairwoman said: “The hard work and dedication from this group of players is again so impressive. We are grateful for the ongoing commitment to the Club and to each other which fuels the success.”
As the team approaches their final home game, Skipton invites, fans, friends and the entire community to rally behind them as they take on the high-flying Leeds Modernians this Sunday. The match promises to showcase the best of women’s football in West Riding, and a victory for Skipton would keep them in contention for the league title.
Due to a fixture backlog, the game will be played as a double header, featuring two sixty-minute matches. The action kicks off at 1: 30 PM on the 4G pitch at Sandylands Sports Centre, with the second match starting at 3:00 PM.
Oakley’s food truck will be serving food, and We R Bar will provide drinks for everyone to enjoy.
