BARNOLDSWICK Town's late-season revival continued on Saturday as they claimed a 4-2 victory over Alsager Town in the Macron Cup semi-final to make it three wins in their last four games.
They had to work hard for the win, but got in there in the end to overturn a 2-0 first half deficit, with Andrew Hill being the home side's inspiration to score a brace.
Thomas Stanton and Jack Woolley sent the visitors into a comfortable lead at the break, but the hosts fought back valiantly to book their place in the final of the competition.
Despite being two goals behind at the interval, a resurgent Barlick came out for the second half and would find themselves level just ten minutes later.
Andy Hill pounced to cut the deficit, and on minute 55, Jack Foster latched on to a Callum Jakovlevs long ball to clinically dispatch and bring the sides level.
And the winner would arrive three minutes from time, Hill placing a free-kick under the wall and into the bottom left-hand corner of Alsager's goal.
With the clock ticking down, Ryan Moore put the game to bed once and for all with a stoppage time strike (90 + 7) to seal a 4-2 victory.
Up next for Barlick is a home game against Charnock Richard this evening.
Cup finals details will be announced in due course.
