DANE Chisholm’s legal wrangle with Featherstone Rovers appears to finally be over.
The former Bradford Bulls and Keighley Cougars ace was one of several players, along with the likes of Marc Kheirallah, that have been fighting to be paid money they were owed by the club for several months.
Featherstone have openly admitted these claims from their former players were true, and they were working hard to repay those affected.
Yet months had passed without that occurring, and Chisholm’s ire was raised once again earlier this week, amid strong press rumours about Rovers making a raft of signings from their Betfred Championship rivals Dewsbury.
The incandescent Australian took to X, formerly Twitter, to complain that Featherstone should be looking to pay their old players before buying any new ones.
Pay me first. Then sign who ever you want @mart_vickers @FevRoversRLFC https://t.co/OhGyXV3fSU

And it seems that post was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
On Thursday, Chisholm returned to social media to confirm he has now been given the money Rovers owed him, and thanked everyone for their backing over the case.
Big thank you everyone who supported me the last few months. Fev and I have settled & money has been sent. Excited to go back to supporting Featherstone and the @SuperLeague from here in Aus. @rfl ..be better at supporting your players so things like this don’t happen so often🙏🏽

As it stands, Fev have not signed anyone from Dewsbury this week, but they have loaned in Luis Johnson from Castleford.
Rovers face a tricky trip to Sheffield in the Championship tomorrow afternoon, knowing that anything less than a win could see them drop to fourth to sixth in the table, with Toulouse and Bulls able to overtake them.
