IT’S been a busy past week at Skipton Golf Club with both the Ladies Summer Open and Summer Mixed Open taking place at the North Yorkshire course.
The Ladies open took place on Friday (June 21) and there was some eye-catching performances all around.
Taking top spot/s in the competition were Jayne Helliwell, Lisa Foster, Linda Randerson and Jill Atkins, all from Bingley St Ives.
They scored 83 points and won £45 each.
In 2nd with 81 points were Nicola Gamble, of Skipton, and Judy Lovett, Jill Taylor and Carole Capstick, all from Bentham.
Their prizes were a total of £35 each.
In 3rd, claiming £25 each, with 80 points, were Janet Cartledge, Anne Teale, Anne Hisham and Ruth Scanlon from Chorley.
The Summer Mixed Open also took place recently and there were more impressive displays from the respective golfers.
Winners of the 4BBB Stableford competition were Adam Stansfield (Bracken Ghyll) and Nicola Gamble (Skipton) with 45 points, who both won £60.
In second place (£45 each) with 42 points were Mark and Hazel Cadman from Oulton Hall.
Third place went to Ian Davies (Southport Old Links) and Diane Cooper (Ashton in Makerfield) with 41 points (£30 each).
Fourth and final place with 41 points after a back nine countback went to Carl and Julie Livesey (Outlane) who each won £20.
