WEST Craven Warriors have reached the halfway stage of their rugby league campaign, and have their eyes set on a second-placed finish, and possibly going up off the back of that.

The Barnoldswick-based outfit play in Division Four of the Yorkshire Men’s League and while promotion is not linear at that level, a good performance over the season can give you a chance of being placed in a higher tier the following year.

The Warriors are surely not going to catch runaway leaders York Barbarians, but after four wins and three defeats in their opening seven games, they currently sit fourth.
They sit just two points behind Oulton Raiders’ YML side, with a game in hand on the Leeds-based outfit.

West Craven kick off the second half of their season at home to Sherburn Bears tomorrow, with their visitors currently sat second-bottom of the table.
