BARNOLDSWICK Town held Northern Premier League (East Division) outfit, Brighouse Town to a draw on Saturday in the Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates F.A Cup.
It wasn’t a game full of opportunities, but Barlick came into their own in the second half and can be proud of their display against a side in the division above.
The replay will take place tomorrow evening at Brighouse’s Heffernan Utilities Stadium, with the game commencing at 7:45 pm.
In a first half dominated by the Northern Premier League on Saturday, they went close to scoring in the 20th minute.
Their forward turned expertly before unleashing a fierce strike over the bar, just as it looked like the visitors would break the deadlock.
Barlick defended resolutely for the remainder of the half, albeit conceding a few chances, but they went into the interval level.
And their best chance came after the break when Gareth Hill glanced a header just over the crossbar.
That was that, and Barlick now have a second opportunity to create a minor upset at Brighouse tomorrow evening.
