North Ribblesdale RUFC secured their 26th consecutive league victory with a 54-17 triumph over Old Rishworthian RUFC.
The match, held on Saturday (November 16) on Rishworthian turf in Copley, near Halifax, saw North Ribblesdale kick things off with a 50-20 kick from Tom Davidson, which quickly led to a try by Callum Mathew and conversion from Davidson.
Within three minutes the ball was swung wide from a scrum, and teenager Max Seddon scored his maiden senior try, with Davidson again adding the extras.
The relentless North Ribblesdale continued their onslaught, with Oliver Drew securing a converted try to give the team a 21-0 lead after 25 minutes.
Unconverted tries followed from Elliot Marklew, Davidson, and Ben Coultherd, which saw Ribblesdale amass 36 points.
A solitary try from Old Rishworthians' Hunter Jackson took the score to 36-7 by half-time.
The second half was a lower reflection of the first with several changes of personnel after fifty minutes, but there was still time for three converted tries: a fifty metre effort from Coultherd, a sixty metre interception from Drew - who showed his counterparts a clean pair of heels - and a gem from teenager George Burton at the final whistle.
All second half tries were converted by Hennie Van Rensburg.
Rishworthians achieved a converted try courtesy of Logan Ward to give a final score of 57-14 in North Ribblesdale's favour.
The club singled out for particular mention the performances of Oliver Drew, Sam Smith, Ben Coultherd, Hennie Van Rensburg, and teenagers Max Seddon and George Burton.
The win was the 26th consecutive league win for North Ribblesdale, and keeps the team six points clear of in-form Pocklington.
This Saturday a Yorkshire Shield quarter final, at home versus Acklam, was meant to take place but instead North Ribb have been handed the walkover victory.
