Andy Hodge has been named in the Great Britain Rowing Team for the second World Cup event in Munich, this weekend.
Hodge, from Hebden, continues his successful partnership with Pete Reed in Germany.
At last month’s World Cup event in Bled the pair finished second behind their perrennial rivals, the New Zealand pairing of Eric Murray and Hamish Bond.
Hodge knows a lot of hard work is required to close the gap on Murray and Bond.
He said: “We will go away and work on every stroke. These guys are very strong so we need to work every day to improve.”
Last season the British pair won gold and two silvers in the world cup series before going on to win silver at the World Championship in Poznan, Poland.
The World Cup is a series of three races. The series started in Bled, Slovenia last month, and finishes in Lucerne, Switzerland on July 9-11.
