Title-chasers Oakworth were right on song against third-placed Embsay in the Upper Airedale Junior League's Pro Coach Academy Under-15 League, making 175-2, skipper Jack Davison being the pick with 38.

Despite Joe Holt’s 36, the Shires Lane boys only mustered 84-9 after Ben Fothergill added 3-13 to his earlier 35.

Second-placed Wharfedale Stags had Oxenhope at 87-9 (Ben Addison 35) with con-trolled bowling. Ben Schindler (37) led the charge to 88-2 in only 11 overs. Gargrave made 79-7 against Skipton, Lancashire prospect Tyler McGladdery making 30.

But they took no points as Skipton cruised to 80-5, led by 35 from Izaak Beck after Matthew Mukherjee return-ed 3-17.

Sutton’s 80-8 (Lloyd Jake 3-7) was a modest target for Settle but it was 15 too many as the South Craven bowlers did well to leave the Ribblesdalers on 65-8.

Bradford & Bingley were out-of-sorts at Earby, making a modest 43 all out in the face of 4-4 from Luke Hipgrave.

The Applegarth boys lost just two wickets, taking the win in 10.2 overs.

Steeton’s climb to Haworth West End seemed fruitful with 114-8 (Chris Jowett 25).

But Sam Hallas had other ideas and his 39 led his team to 117-1 with three overs to spare.

Bradley took full toll on the very inexperienced Haworth side, rattling up 192-3, Matthew Price and Billy Winterburn each scoring 39, Luke Sumnall also filling his boots with 38. Jack Ridding’s 3-4 fully undid the Haworth boys, who reached 42-9.

In the red-rose derby, Earby made 74-7, Sammer Ahmed holding them back with 3-10.

The Forest boys reached their target in just 12 overs at 80-2.

Division Two leaders Glusburn steamed on at the top with Chris Wademan (36) once again leading the bats-men to 121-8, although Alex Wood (4-9) did his best to keep the leaders in check.

Wood’s Bradford & Bingley side recovered from their mauling at Earby and chased hard to tally 107-6 (Asim Qadeer 34).

No sooner had Haworth West End hit the top of the Keighley Cup2000 Under-17 League than they were humbled by Upper Wharfedale, who had the leaders all out for 92 (Jack Schindler 3-6, Jake Parkinson 3-23). Dan Benson led the reply and the points went North with 96-4.

Second-placed Embsay took advantage, rattling up 165-6 against their 2009 cup final opponents Skipton.

The Embsay openers put on 75, Lloyd Davies going on to 52.

Skipton crumbled to a 100-run defeat, unable to cope with 4-18 from Joshua Robinson and 3-12 from former player Waris Kamal.

After off-the-field manoeuvres were settled, Cononley reached 117-7 (Herbie Starkey 39, Freddie Pearson 38) in the basement battle with Gargrave. Pearson then took 3-15 in their 77 all out.
