The men’s and ladies’ teams from Cross Hills Tennis Club were in action again last week, playing the last round of matches of the first half of the Bradford & District Association season.
The ladies’ team took on second-placed Heaton and lost 4-0, despite a gutsy display.
The men’s first team were at home to Salts and secured a battling 2-2 draw, which maintains their mid-table position.
The men’s second team travelled to Heaton in a bid to scored some much-needed rubbers, but were beaten 3-1.
And the men’s third team suffered a rare defeat, losing 4-0 at runaway leaders Halifax Queens.
After a fortnight’s break, both mixed teams will be back in action this week in the Wharfedale League against teams from Ilkley.
New members are always welcome. Pop into the club on Keighley Road, Cross Hills for more details.
