Stuart Myers of Cononley completed the individual competition four-timer when he won the Skipton Bowling Association’s League Handicap at Cross Hills Bowling Club last Friday evening.
He joins Arnie Ripley and Chris Slater, who have won the League Merit, League Handicap, Norman Johnston and Spring Floodlight.
Myers completes the feat in six years after winning the Merit and Johnston in 2004.
Cross Hills had their green in good order, and in the quarter-finals, Myers beat team-mate Graham Reay 21-20 after a very tight contest.
Trevor Hargreaves met clubmate Steve Morris, winning 21-15, but Maurice Haley, in his first final, found Chris Wilson too strong, going down 21-11.
Len Buxton made it three Keighley bowlers in the semi-finals with a 21-11 victory over Roy Sanderson.
The two other Keighley players who met in the semis were Wilson and Hargreaves.
The match, as expected, was tight, with Wilson just getting home with a good finish to win 21-17.
Buxton put up a great effort in trying to reach the final, leading 16-15, only for Myers to find three doubles in the last four ends to win 21-17.
The final looked like being a big win for Myers, who raced into a 11-3 lead with some excellent bowling, but a change of length and mark by Wilson saw him claw his way back into the match.
Two more good ends made it game on as Wilson got back to 13-15, and it was end for end, but Wilson could not get in front as Myers held on to finish the 21-18 winner.
League president Anthony Walsh was on hand to present the Handicap Shield and prizes.
A good performance by Alan Thornber of Silsden led to him reaching the Yorkshire County Hills Supplies semi-final with wins against M Morris (Spen Victoria) 21-11, then county player Steven Hirst 21-19 and P Kain (Lockwood Cons) 21-17, eventually losing 21-11 to county player and competition winner Nick White.
Martyn Cox, from Gargrave, was our other qualifier. He bowled well in his first game to get a good win over J Webster (Springwood) but then came a cropper against White, losing 21-6.
Cononley Bowling Club went into the last eight of the Yorkshire Cup with a good victory over Linthwaite C&BC at Sowerby Bridge Hillcrest, including seven winners.

Last year’s runners-up Cross Roads will take no further part as they went out to Eccleshill at Elland C&BC. Sharing the winners six apiece, they just went down by seven points.
In the Eric Hutchinson, Craven BC moved into the last eight with a good win over Drighlington Park at Outwood BC.
After a thoroughly confident performance, they had nine winners, led by Phil Tunney 21-5 in the first four. Plenty of good wins followed to give a final score of 212-188.
Settle BC took a bit of a thrashing against a very good side in Asa Briggs at Valley Ridge.
Whinfield did well in their Derrick Radley match against Jackson Bridge at Ossett Flying Horse.
They were leading by four going into the last four games but it all went wrong with four losers.
There were eight games in the Slaters Arms Clarkson Cup second round with, once again, the First Division teams coming out on top, except for Settle B, who beat Oakworth.
It was a good result for Settle B, who had five winners, including a 21-4 success for Brian Farrage, and they won 243-226, without the 15 points handicap they received. Devon A had all ten winners against their C team to pull back 80 points start.
Tony Akers top-scored 21-3 to give Devon A the perfect start, and they eventually won 240-214.
Cross Hills A once again had a very close match, just getting the better of Whinfield A, who held the lead till very late after Glynn Hodge, 21-5, and Frank Wilkinson, 21-10, put Whinfield in charge.
Cross Hills needed two late winners in Mick Higson, 21-11, and Derek Squires, 21-12, to get them through 213-211.
Colne Legion A had a really good tie with Lund Park A. Both sides had five winners and all were close games.
James Tyler, 21-12, looked to have had done enough to win the match for Park, but Mick Cruise put the Legion through with a 21-20 victory to seal the match 244-242.
Silsden Playing Fields provide two teams in the last eight as both team A and B sides had good wins. The A team got the better of Cross Hills B, with best wins for Bob Scott and Paul Oliver, 21-9, giving a team a 253-230 success.
The B team were too strong for Third Division Addingham B, with Peter Hayton, 21-1, helping Silsden to a comprehensive 261-227 triumph. Keighley A had a very comfortable victory over Addingham A. Only Henry Czajkowski, 21-17, managed a win for ‘Dingham’, while in-form Len Buxton and Chris Wilson, both 21-3, did the main damage for Keighley as they were victorious 221-172.
Colne Cricket Club complete the final eight after a good win against Craven A.
The best result on the night went to Dave Smith, 21-2, for Craven, but Rosie Southworth’s 21-7 success proved to be the match-winner for the cricketers as they went on to win 225-205.
The quarter-finals are on Monday, with the draw and greens as follows: Keighley A 15 v Cross Hills A 30 at Rolls Royce, Colne Legion A 55 v Devonshire A 30 at Gargrave, Silsden PF A 50 v Settle B 80 at Grassington, Silsden PF B 65 v Colne Cricket 45 at Cononley.
The Inter-District Veterans take on top side Huddersfield on Friday, with the home match at Devon and the away side at Thongsbridge.
