YOUNGSTERS from Silsden Storm Junior Rugby Club got filthy in the name of charity as they completed an annual Tough Mudder challenge.
A total of 17 Cobbydalers kids made the short journey to Broughton Hall to take part in the Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder.
They were all sponsored to help raise money for club funds, as well as the Down Syndrome training and support service based at Bingley.
The course was over a quarter of a mile and involved seven obstacles on each of four laps, with an impressive £1,227 being raised.
Head coach Rob Weir said: "These days are important for the club and the team. Without fundraising it would be impossible to run the junior club, which helps us cover the cost of new equipment, balls and much more.
"It's also nice to raise money for other worthy causes and the Down Syndrome support service is fantastic as it helps so many families.
"The kids had a great day and I think the parents did too. These kind of days help the kids bond and get to know each other away from rugby, which then helps the team on the field."
The club's next planned event is on August 20 as they host their inaugural junior rugby festival. It is being held in the park at Silsden from 10.30am.
