Brighouse Rangers A 70 Cowling Harlequins 0
TRAVELLING with a full side, Cowling were confident of claiming a win but when Brighouse's first-team game was called off, they knew it would be no easy day at the office.
The game started at a very fast pace, with Rangers' hooker tearing gaps in Quins defence.
Great work from Josh Jolley and Nicky Smith kept Cowling in the game initially until the south Craveners lost Smith to a suspected broken jaw.
Up stepped Ashley Wood and Karl Hanicouk, who showed true grit, with Quins completing 90 per cent of sets.
But the visitors were unable to prevent a feast of tries from the hosts.
Darren Greenwood was held up twice over the line and Jolley made a break down the right wing and just missed out on a try by Brighouse full back's cover tackle.
Cowling have a free week to tighten their defensive line before their trip to Methley Royals on November 12.
