Pennine League Division Four: Silsden 23 Selby14
A second-half comeback saw Silsden claim victory as James Bowdin scored a hat-trick.
Looking for their second win in two weeks, the Cobbydalers started well and posted an unconverted try when Ben Ross broke and handed on to Bowdin to touch down.
Then the visitors got into their stride and poached a four-pointer from acting half, also unconverted.
A period of scrappy play with errors from both teams was followed by a try in the corner for the visitors, this time with a successful kick to follow, increasing the lead to six points at the interval.
Silsden conceded position when they were penalised for a head high tackle and Selby took full advantage with their third try.
Bowdin then used his strength to force his way over the line for a try, goaled by Kris Gott. Silsden were now getting on top and Jake Smith ran a clever line to cross unopposed, Gott again adding the extras.
Man of the match Bowdin hit his hat-trick with a strong run to go in from 40 yards. Gott converted and then had the last word with a drop goal to seal the fightback.
Silsden travel to Queensbury this week, looking to maintain their better run of form.
